06.01.08 (7:06 pm)   [edit]
Transformers 2! Yes thats right tomorrow June, 02 marks the start of the production of this much needed sequel. The first blew my mind and I'm hoping the second is nothing short of that. After my review of the newest Indiana Jones Film this is really good to hear. Along with Transformers 2 a sequel of Iron man is also in its begging stages. These reports conformed by the talk at the premiere of Iron Man and MTV's 2008 Movie Awards.

Indiana Jones in the Kingdom of the Crystal skull NO SPOILERS :)

05.30.08 (6:33 am)   [edit]

Indiana Jones in the Kingdom of the Crystal skull NO SPOILERS :). Wow I myself wasn't expecting this movie to be the blockbuster of the year, but I at least expected it to keep me from wanting to claw my eyes out. Seriously this movie was a disgrace to the line of Indiana Jones line of movies. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but if your expecting to be blown away by nonstop action and a story line that can't be beat, then your going to be disappointed. Sure if you looking for a good family movie to keep the kids occupied then go and sit threw it. I'm not saying that this is the worst movie of all time, I was just a bad note to end on.

Sorry for the length of this post

Memorial Day

05.24.08 (9:20 am)   [edit]

Memorial day weekend is upon us, The sun us shining the birds are chirping and Americas patriotism is at its peek. The day we take to honor our brave men and women is almost here. You can smell the BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers and you can hear the crisp flapping of the proud flags flown high in the sky. The giggles of small children running in the freshly mowed lawn is like soft saranading music to your ears.

Though we would all love to only focus on the glamours side of this day the facts still remain. We celebrate this day is to show are repesct to the soilders who risk their lives everyday to defend our freedom. 150,000 soilders spend there days and nights fighting right now at this very moment. 4,079 families have to pack up there sons and daughters things and store them away with tears upon the cardboard boxes. Thought no one wants to think about it, we have these freedoms because of those who died in the line of duty and those who are still fighting to this very day. Without them we wouldn't be able to say what we want to when we want to, you probally wouldn't even be reading this article. I am all about having fun and enjoying this day, but maybe it wouldn't be to hard to vist your local cemetary and place a flag on the tombstone of a vetran wheter you know thme or not. This country loves them and will never stop.

Songbird = Virtural Awsome

05.19.08 (4:12 pm)   [edit]

Serenading tunes from the mouth of a songbird, something normally associated with nature and the "great out doors". The type of Songbird I am referring to however is that of the cyber world. The Freshly developed software Songbird comes from the makers of Thunderbird and Firefox. This music player/peer to peer network/rss feed manger/active web browser is basically the most use full piece of software known to man kind. Basically Limewire, iTunes, Windows Media Player, and the Internet went out and had a couple drinks then went to a hotel and well the rest is history.

This FREEware allows you to simultaneously search some of the best MP3 peer 2 peer networks, Surf the web, Manage your library in a way that destroys iTunes, and read blogs while you listen to the smooth relaxing music they have to offer. Not only do the huge advantages make this program so successful but some of the little things have just as much impact. Unlike other programs similar to this one you can actually preview the song before you even download it. This ability is great if your looking to just here the song all your friends are talking about without cluttering up your HD or if you want to screen the song before downloading.

Being able to automatically download to a play list you've already created can be a huge time saver. When I downloaded this program and opened it I literary felt as if it was Christmas morning once again. Don't just take my word for it go out and grab your own developers version of Songbird today!

London The Artist

04.17.08 (6:21 pm)   [edit]

London, Takes Us by Suprise

Chicago, home to windy weather, Chicago Cubs, and the hidden gem that is London. Known around YouTube for her intoxicating musical covers including Our Song - Taylor Swift, I'm So Sick - Fly Leaf, Miranda Lambert - Famous in a Small Town, and many others. Not only does she do an amazing job at replicating famous songs she even writes her own music. Some of her more recent songs, Sixteen Year Handbook - London, To Write Love on Her Arms - London, and plenty of more exceptional work. You may also know her by her acoustic version of Souljia Boy played and sang to a peppy and addicting tune that just makes you happy.

Few words can accurately describe this young bursting artist but phrase Phenomenally Outstanding, and Utterly Refreshing come to mind. Out of all the wannabe teenage rock stars this lone girl stands out. With here gutair at her side and her voice echoing in hearts of thousands she is sure to take the stage and amaze us all. If you haven't all ready seen her work  you can find her YouTube Channel Here and Her MySpace Here

    Interview By: Tyler Martin

1. What inspired you to start singing/playing gutair
Everyone in my family did something music related. My dad plays guitar and sings. My mom played violin for eleven years. There's a few music majors on my dad's side of the family so musics just what flows in my blood.

2. When did you start singing/playing gutair
Well when I was born and they first brought me to my mom they said "So your the mother of the screaming child." Apparently I cried/screams for two hours straight after I was born. So I guess I started from day one lol. I picked up guitar on my thirteenth birthday.

3. Was there anyone who influenced you to start singing/playing
I know I say this in every interview but Michelle Branch was a huge influence. I had been playing guitar for about 4 months when I went to one of her shows. Something clicked inside of me at that show. Playing guitar went from 'this is just something I can do' to 'this is what I'm going to do for the rest of my life.'

4. Where do you see your muscial career in 5 years
I hope and pray I'd have a full length album out, have label support so I could tour and spread my music even further.

5. What is your favorite part about singing/playing guitar?
Oh wow, um. I'd have to say being able to spill my soul onto a bit of paper and add a melody to it. It's a talent I don't take for granted. Music helps me express a lot of the things I won't say. lol I'm passive, I don't want to offend people so I play music.

6. Do you or have you ever had stage-fright
Hmm, not really. I get anxious before I play. But it's good kind of anxious like "I want to play right now!" kind of feeling. I don't like waiting to play.

7. What is your favorite cover you have done
By myself - That's really hard to say cause I cover a lot of songs all the time. Remembering Sunday by All Time Low is pretty fun cause I really belt it out when I get to Juliet Simms part.
With my band - We cover 'Merry Happy' by Kate Nash and it's just so much fun to play!

8. What is your favorite song that you have written
Wow, well I'm currently in love with my new song 'Passerby' that I wrote a few days ago. But thats what happens. I write a new song and all I want to do is play it for everyone. I really love 'To Write Love On Her Arm's because it's effected so many people in positive ways. To change just one persons mind about self harm, or help one person get through a rough time with my music is what it's all about.

9. How far do you plan on taking your muscial career
As far as god will let me.

10. On a scale of 1-10 how much of your life is music
10. Everything in my life effects my music. Everything from my car breaking down, my boyfriend and I having a movie marathon, or watching my little sister. Everything is potential for a new song.

11. If you could go back and change one thing about your life so far, what would you change.
Nothing, everything thats happened in my life has made me who I am today. Even the stupid mistakes I've made I wouldn't change. I would possibly be a little more vocal with some of my teachers and tell them off but thats about it lol.

12. Do your friends and family support you
100%. I have the best support group! Everyone for a while was kind of like "London it's such a long shot, you need a back up plan." and now everyones like "London, why aren't you on tour? Where's your record deal?"

Some Favorites

1. Favorite food - Chinese food is the secret to my heart

2. Favorite place - my room or Wicker Park in Chicago

3. Favorite beverage - An assortment of Tea's

Other Questions

1. Do you have any pets
6 Cats - Sophie, Lucky, Fi Fi, Sher Khon, Zero, and Gibson
1 dog - Cricket

2. Where/When are you most calm and/or relaxed
Well I'm one big ball of energy and anxiety so there's little 'mellow' time with me. lol BUT laying in my room with some jasmine incense burning, a cup of tea, and a good book = one happy girl.

3. Finally do you mind if I post these questions on MyBlog
Not at all, please let me know when you post it so I can post it on myspace and let everyone know to go read it!

Thanks again to London and all you readers I was really excited to write this blog and there is quiet possibly a chance for more articles to come. For now thought I will let London alone and find something else to talk about, you can expect my next article to be out in the next day or so.
